What is a Standard, Luxury, or Premium seat heater?
The standard in seat heaters began its development in the late 1980’s. Through many efforts seat heaters have become a safe, profitable, and popular option. Moreover, seat heaters are now demanded and often a standard request for new vehicle purchases. The Standard seat heater is an entry-level item providing a competitive solution for heating one’s seat. A bi-metal thermostat controls the heat as it cycles from HI to Lo.
Development and innovation allowed Check to turn seat heat into therapeutic heat. Check’s Hi-Lo seat heater is a true two-temperature system and turns seat heating into a luxury solution available for any vehicle. We offer a true two-temperature system because our product needs to equal the Original Equipment (OE) product to satisfy most customers. The Premium brand takes Luxury to the next level by providing a third higher temperature, a unique switch and hardware that shaves time off your installation.
ü Digital Technology – Check Corporation has developed two systems that provide specific heat settings that do not change over time. Each setting provides the same rate of heat rise but the temperature in each setting is tightly regulated. At the seat surface, Temp I stabilizes approximately at 98 - 101 °F, Temp II stabilizes at 107 - 111 °F and Temp III stabilizes at 114 – 119 °F.

Our seat heaters have been fine-tuned over the last twelve years to provide unrivaled functions and quality. We specialize in seat heaters as it represents 90% of our business. Our Engineering is located in our Troy, Michigan manufacturing facility so that your needs for custom solutions and for quality and feature improvements are handled personally and quickly. We have warranty returns of less than 1%. We personally handle your technical trouble shooting on the spot and have access to immediate engineering assistance for more advanced issues. More over, we are here to not only be your supplier but also to help you grow your business with product solutions that add to your bottom line.
ü Safety – We at Check Corporation make safety our business. You may be aware of the United States law Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) #208 that enforces passenger airbag sensors to be in use for every passenger vehicle by August 2006. Many sensors appear in the seat or framework. We seek help from the manufacturers of the sensors and the vehicle integrators to know which technologies are compatible with aftermarket seat heaters and which ones are not. We do this so that you can be confident installing a safe product. For those front passenger seats that are not compatible with aftermarket seat heaters, Check Corporation has other options to offer, like our single element kit for heating the area without a foam mounted sensor. This type of product knowledge is extremely important from a safety and liability perspective and it is made available to customers of the Check Corporation.

ü Market Trends – We share marketing information with you to help keep you on the edge of tech tips, advertising tips and target vehicles that need aftermarket seat heaters. For example, the Cadillac Deville and SRX base models do not have seat heaters whereas all other Cadillac models do have them. This is an opportunity.

ü Heat – Check works with OEM industry to determine the most comfortable heat settings for the array of skin types and sensitivities. Much testing has gone into determining the proper temperatures offered in Check seat heaters. This enables you to offer systems that are equal to the OEM.
ü The NEW Express Kit – These kits are designed to be stocked and used for those occasions where you can not use or wait for the best fitted kit. We respond to your customers’ needs and time deficiencies with the Check Express seat heater kit.
ü Accessories – We offer accessories to help you with your custom needs. Switch Harness Extensions, piggy-back add-a-fuse connectors, and many of the parts you find in our hardware packs are available separately.
ü Kits are designed to minimize the installation time – labor is the most costly part of a seat heater installation. Benefit from kits that fit and come with all the parts needed for the install. This should save you labor time trying to make parts fit and looking for parts that are not included with the kit. Note the harnessing in our kits are the longest in the industry.
ü Unexpected Solutions - Single Element Kits for customers that want heat on the back or bottom cushion only. Customers are picky and we offer products that meet their demands.
ü Lighted Switches – Check offers lighted switches for all our kits. These lights indicate when the system is turned on and they provide diagnostic feedback should there be a need to repair the system.
ü Durability – We manufacture seat heaters that meet and exceed the OE requirements and meet the flammability standard FMVSS #302 which is required of OE seat heater suppliers by the US Government. Automotive jounce and squirm testing is performed to simulate the real life use of getting in and out of vehicle seats. Check’s systems have been tested in the lab and in the real world for over twelve years. We are confident that we build the most durable and safe seat heaters offered to the aftermarket.
